Computational Fluid Dynamics – CFD
Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a versatile computational tool that, in addition to classical fluid mechanics and numerics, takes into account a variety of phenomena from other disciplines, such as thermodynamics, chemistry, electrical engineering or physics.
CFD simulations are applied where fluid motions play a role, e.g. in process engineering plants for power and heat generation or petrochemistry. The optimization of flow control as well as the analysis of flow dynamic processes in plant components can be qualitatively determined with it under suitable conditions.

Dynamic process simulation
With dynamic process simulation, not only individual components, but also entire plants can be examined numerically.
Today, our specialists have modern calculation tools at their disposal with which plants and processes can be precisely mapped.
This makes it possible to simulate processes that previously could only be carried out in time-consuming test procedures.
After the process or plant has been configured and adjusted, a wide range of analyses (e.g. load changes, partial load behavior, malfunctions, etc.) can be carried out realistically. In addition, parameter studies can be used to make reliable predictions for the correct design and arrangement of components, which can be used to identify and solve problems in advance.
